Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role consists of assisting the dentist or dental therapist/hygienest with treatments and checkups, ensuring notes are correctly done and also making sure instruments are decontaminated.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme. I have really enjoyed the practical side of the course, assisting and learning new skills for different treatments and procedures. The staff at the workplace have all been amazing and helpful when I needed it. I found the theory side of the course a bit more stressful due to try to find to to do the coursework alongside working full time 5 days a week. I also had a few problems with a mess around with different tutors and having my observations cancelled numerous times which has caused me to be delayed in the course.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course itself was mostly organised. It was done unit by unit and I would be emailed a list of dates where teaching sessions would be held for each unit. I would also have a regular one to one with my tutor to discuss my progress and discuss any issues I might of been having. Like i previously mention the only downside to the course itself was the cancelling of observations which held me back.

We do occasional go out for meals with everyone outside of the working environment.

They are a reputable company which have a wide range of different professionals working for them doing a wide range of different treatments, which allows you to gain lots of knowledge as a trainee.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Dental Design Studio?
Make sure you fully involve yourself to get the best from the training and don't be scared to ask questions and ask for help.
