Aiding the health and protection team in every day tasks, such as helping organise meetings, create forms, analyse data etc.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
How much responsibility you get depends on the team you are in. I happened to be in a team that had a lot of tasks to do, so I was given many responsibilities in comparison to the other interns.

Yes, I am a lot more knowledgeable on private healthcare and related policies. I have also developed personal skills, such as effective work and time management.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was brilliant as everyone was very helpful and kind overall. There can be times were there might be too much work involved but I was always welcome to say whether I had too much/too little work.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed it a lot as it was new experience for me. As everyone was so friendly, I also enjoyed the internship on a personal level and not just for professional reasons.

What advice would you give to others applying to The ABI
I would advise to research the organisation as much as possible before, during and after the application process as it can be tricky to understand what role the ABI has in insurance if you are not familiar with the industry.
