A Food Safety Trainer and Auditor is responsible for ensuring that food businesses meet regulatory and industry standards for safety, hygiene, and allergen control. I deliver practical training to staff, helping them understand and apply food safety principles, while also conducting audits to assess compliance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement. By combining education with inspection, they support businesses in maintaining safe practices, protecting consumers, and meeting legal requirements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Working as a Food Safety Trainer and Auditor develops a strong mix of technical knowledge and people-focused skills. You gain expertise in food safety systems, hygiene standards, and allergen management, while building sharp attention to detail and risk assessment abilities. The role also strengthens communication and training skills, enabling you to explain complex requirements clearly and influence behaviour on site. In addition, you develop confidence in auditing, problem-solving, and making sound, evidence-based decisions under pressure.

My manager has been amazing, support has been 24/7 when needed. I have also the flexibility of coming to the office once a week and being mentored.
