Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves completing various bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations and invoice processing for a range of clients. I also complete year end accounts preparations and management accounts on a monthly basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the chances to complete a wide variety of tasks on a day to day basis which allows me to learn about a range of different processes and ensures that I am always able to pick up work if needed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of new skills since I have started. For example, how to prepare a set of accounts, how to post journals. I have greatly improved my ability to speak to clients and carry out tasks independently.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured. I know when I am due to be studying well in advance and I am always told what tasks I am expected to work on in a given week.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my employer. I am always able to ask colleagues for help within the workplace if needed and am given lots of different opportunities to speak to someone if necessary.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support during my tuition. My tutors have always ensured that I understand what I am doing and have encouraged me to reach out if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Yes, as I feel as though I am able to learn about new things within my tuition which can then be applied to my role within the workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are social activities such as monthly gatherings, awards nights and team social activities such as bowling. There are also sports events that I have taken part in such as 5 a side football.
