Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day I work as part of the audit team completing junior and semi senior sections of the audit file such as sales, purchases, debtors and creditors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme at CP, there is a good balance between work and college with college being in blocks throughout the year. At the beginning (before the apprenticeship element begins) you have time to settle into your day to day role which allows you to gain a deeper understanding of audit. I also feel there is a great element of flexibility.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed both my technical skills in accounting/ auditing and also my transferrable skills. I have strengthened my communication and organisational skills whilst working on audits and grown in confidence since the beginning of my apprenticeship.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel my programme is well structured with support from my line manager and student support. From the beginning of my apprenticeship I have been supported and made aware of how my learning will be incorporated into my work life. Further, for things such as training file reviews, detailed emails and clear deadlines are always sent out which make it easy to stay organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel I receive great support from my employer from a range of different resources whether it be my line manager, job manager or student support. It is easy to reach out and receive help when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The student support team are great and setting clear pathways and organising our study periods. They always make us aware of what needs to be completed and set clear deadlines.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The ACA qualification I am completing has been well organised by my training provider. I have an external talent coach who assists me in completing each step of my training file and ensures that I am on track to qualify in line with my training plan.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are socials at work such as summer parties and quizzes that are fun to get involved in and allow for that time with the team outside of the usual working day. There are also networking opportunities through BCASS which I have been involved in in the past.
