Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an Apprentice ARM I was supporting Relationship Managers with their workload and dealing directly with customers on any queries or issues they have. I took responsibility for certain tasks such as chasing accounts and was responsible for managing my diary.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I loved the programme and the job but the apprenticeship was so wide and some parts of it seemed irrelevant to the job but all good learning!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I developed my customer service skills and my time management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Regular check ins with the coaches helped as well as a designated 'coach' within the bank.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I was encouraged to set time aside out of my diary to complete my apprenticeship. I also had lots of support from my peers and my wider commercial team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My coach was really helpful and always available for me to ask questions. She gave me really constructive feedback on any assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification assisted my understanding of banking in general but some of it wasn't that relevant to my role specifically.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There's loads of extra-curricular activities such as fundraising/volunteering, networking events, coaching opportunities and sporting events where interested.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I've worked at NatWest for over 5 years now and have been supported thoroughly at every stage. I have enjoyed every role I have had and the apprenticeship was an excellent way to quickly learn lots about banking.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be as specific as you can with any examples you give during the application stage and what you (individually) did within the example.
