Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In my role I have to balance online zoom sessions with my apprenticeship teachers from Althaus, my off-the-job training for the apprenticeship and different tasks set to my by my employer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am very much enjoying the programme so far as my mentor/manager has been great at taking me through the very early stages of my apprenticeship so far. Giving me tasks based on the skills and knowledge I already have to start off with and slowly branching out into the areas I am learning about.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I have had the opportunity to develop my existing skills in film production using them in a different way to plan videos and photograph for social media rather than short films. So far I have also gotten a lot of experience using Canva to create different content and learning how to use the scheduling platform Buffer which was something completely new to me.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I find that my programme is well structured having live teaching sessions every Thursday morning. Having a progress review with me and my employer every 4 weeks and one with just me every 4 weeks as well. For the first month of the apprenticeship there are also live sessions every Monday titled 'Workplace 101' to help settle new apprentices into a workplace/office environment properly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive as much support as I need from my employer/mentor. We have a 1-1 session every Monday to discuss my work from the previous week with what things went well and if there are any improvements, also planning my tasks for the week ahead in these sessions. In these sessions I am also able to ask any questions or tell him anything I need to, which I have also been told I can email or teams message at any time for help/advice too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive all of the support that i need from them as they have made it known which people to reach out too and made sure that I have access to their email addresses. With regular check-in's to talk about my progress and anything else/different they can do to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think it helps tremendously as without the learning portion of my apprenticeship trying to do a job I am not yet currently qualified for (which is why I chose an apprenticeship) I wouldn't be able to complete most of my tasks properly or get as much help with anything.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am only a month into my position here so I am currently unsure if anything like this goes on. However, it is a lovely working environment with some leniency and a lot of care for employee's wellbeing.
