Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently working in the Backups Infrastructure team, working on platforms such as Commvault and VMWare, working to ensure clients backups are completing successfully without failures. On a day‑to‑day basis, I monitor backups, investigate and resolve backup issues, carry out basic configuration tasks, and support clients and internal teams to make sure data is protected and recoverable. I also learn how backup infrastructure works while gaining hands‑on experience as part of my apprenticeship.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot. It gives me hands‑on experience, helps me learn new skills, and allows me to apply what I learn in real work situations. I find it interesting and useful for my career development.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills in general IT, including understanding systems and troubleshooting issues. I have also developed my knowledge of backup systems using Commvault and have completed some Commvault exams, which has helped improve my technical skills and confidence.
