Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

3/5
I help my team complete tasks. I use a lot of excel and other Microsoft apps Power BI, Power Apps etc and I join a lot of team calls to discuss plans for the future

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

3/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
I have learnt how to properly use excel and the different functions of Procurement.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4/5
It's good their is a structure so you know what comes next. This helps you plan your off the job hours to figure out what tasks you need to take part in.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
They are always helpful and you can come to them with queries/questions if your not sure they are more than happy to help.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

2/5
The training provided is all online and we get around 4 sessions over the course of a couple of months there is limited revision resources on the website and a lack of educational support throughout. To pass exams it mostly relies on you.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

2/5
I don't think I have been able to extrapolate that much useful information in the current role that I am in.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
There are always social activities going on through the various groups organizing them. And there is sports teams to join such as football and netball and you do get to participate in professional networking events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?

Yes

Why?

The support you receive is very good and it's easy to connect with others so you are not alone. The pay is good and you learn useful skills and even develop further in skills that you already had.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?

Be confident and look friendly and welcoming. If you are applying to an apprenticeship they want to see that you are willing to learn and excited to be there. They do still care about grades but as long as you have a head on your shoulders. They are more interested in that you are willing to learn which they are happy to teach you.
