Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The apprenticeship involved basic to intermediate level of data analysis. This included learning skills on Excel, PowerBI and other forms of automation e.g. AI. The skills I learnt ranged from conditional formatting, formulas, macros, and data visualisation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was really challenging at times but SUEZ were able to provide me with a lot of support whenever I had trouble or issues. I had frequent catch ups with the SUEZ recruitment team who listened and took on any feedback I had. I learnt a lot from the apprenticeship and it has helped me with everyday work tasks and projects that have improved productivity & efficiency in my team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a lot of new skills. I have learnt how to create a macro, Excel keyboard shortcuts, PowerBI, pivot tables.
I have developed existing skills in conditional formatting and formulas in Excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At the beginning of the programme it was very unstructured. The introduction meetings were very over complicated. After expressing my concerns to SUEZ they were able to relay it back to the apprenticeship programme. The programme improved quickly after.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support. We has a lot of meetings at the beginning when the programme was unstructured. We had regular catch ups during the apprenticeship where we had the chance to provide feedback which they always listened to. Towards the end of the apprenticeship we had another catch up call for a chance to ask any questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Whenever I was stuck or had an issue I was able to contact who I needed to.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I can now deal with data more efficiently.
