Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work on data analysis projects that range from data visualisation via dashboards for other teams to exploratory data analysis to help with my team's market research. On a day to day, I'll typically be using tools like Python, SQL and Tableau to help me with this work. I also help out with department initiatives particularly surrounding technology and AI. On the rarer side I may be involved with projects with other teams from across the organisation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really do enjoy it, it challenges me but not to a point I'm overwhelmed. I've definitely picked up on certain tools and techniques far quicker due to the practical element of the apprenticeship. The environment is very supportive as well as everyone wants to see you develop.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've gotten more proficient and confident in Python which was a skill I was developing for some time. On the more softer/transferrable skills I've learnt how to balance my time better given the amount of projects/initiatives I'm on.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My apprenticeship is good at giving structure for the projects I should work on to develop my skills. Internally, it could be slightly better by allowing for out of department rotations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My team are very supportive with giving me time to do the projects and connecting me with the right people who can help out.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We have 'data mentors' that help out with the technical aspects of the program and mine was really helpful as she supports me with any problems I have whilst working towards the qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It gives me a baseline set of skills suitable for my role, I do expand on them more whilst I work on m coursework.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are networking events with the employee networks as well as volunteering. They both help with wider awareness of the organisation.
