Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
My role involves collating and helping to analyse the actual cost of the business so that I can help FC future months/years.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
Definitely enjoyable as I'm doing new things that I haven't previously done. Sometimes is repetitive at certain points of the month as there are tasks that need to be done monthly

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
It's an apprenticeship so I went in with no relevant experience. This means everything I do has been new learning and good for my development.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4/5
Very well organised from the business, from the learning provider though (a separate company) organisation could be better.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I have continuous 1 to 1s with my direct line manager and I have support from my whole team when needed/asked for.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

4/5
Communication from the training provider is poor but their resources for the qualification I am doing are very good.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
I am doing a level 4 AAT and the modules I am doing have direct links to my job.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

3/5
Not so much sports teams, but the business runs employee network groups that are good opportunities both for socialising and networking. These meetings are organised in working hours, and any social events are organised by the group itself.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Volkswagen Group UK to a friend?

Yes

Why?

They offer great benefits - as apprenticeships go, the pay isn't bad and it comes with a company car, annual bonus, and a plethora of other benefits. More importantly, the culture is great - everyone in the is very supportive and as a business, it very keenly promotes DEI.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Volkswagen Group UK?

Make sure the company's values align with your own as inclusion is important at VWG. Make sure your application is relevant to the motor industry and have a passion for whatever you are applying for.
