Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout the week we listened to talks from representatives across the firm and also took part in trading simulations. It was an incredibly interesting week and I learnt a lot about the industry.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We were given a 'snapshot' talk on division which was incredibly interesting and really helped me to understand the different business areas a lot better.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Learnt some trading and coding basics and also learnt how to do a stock pitch for a presentation at the end of the week. The week also helped me to develop my confidence and ability to work under pressure and collaborate well with others.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture at Citi came across as friendly and exciting and a really great environment to be a part of. The atmosphere throughout the week was supportive and I definitely felt valued as an intern.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight programme. At times it was quite full-on and some of the activities, for example, the trading simulations, were a little stressful but that is just an accurate representation of the industry and I still really enjoyed the experience. All of the talks were incredibly interesting and I really enjoyed making connections with a lot of other interns too.
