Vacation Scheme Review

The scheme gave me a great mix of tasks, and I felt trusted with real responsibility from the start. On a day-to-day basis, I was busy drafting memos, conducting legal research, and reviewing documents for accuracy, but I also got stuck in with general admin and team support whenever it was needed. Beyond the desk work, I spent time in team meetings and briefings, which gave me a proper look at how the firm handles live cases. It wasn't just 'shadowing' I felt like I was actually contributing to the team’s output, which made the experience feel much more authentic and rewarding.

The culture was a huge highlight for me; everyone was incredibly approachable and willing to grab a coffee or jump on a call. People really took the time to explain exactly what the trainee role looks like day-to-day and gave me a clear breakdown of what each department actually does. It made the firm feel much less intimidating and helped me see how the different teams fit together. Having that direct access to people at all levels was invaluable for getting a real feel for the business.

I was able to develop my existing skill set around research, drafting, due diligence etc.

It was very friendly everyone was approachable and took time to explain thing. There was loads of socials like drinking and bowling.

It was excellent to look at the legal profession close hand and knowing how the firm handle claims, risk and technology. Also knowing how they maintain international client relationship! A lot of free coffee too!
