Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

I was assigned to a team for the entirety of the two weeks and got involved in typical trainee tasks such as document reviews, legal research but even got to go to court!
I got amazing insights into the firm that very much confirmed that I would love to train here.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There were a lot of insights during the first two days of the vacation scheme that left me with a well rounded understanding of the sectors the firm operates in and what seats are available to trainees.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I had not done any contentious work before so exposure to litigation and arbitration was completely new to me. The team was very supportive in answering my questions so that I could hit the ground running.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

This really is a people driven firm. Every single person I asked for insights over coffee was happy to meet no matter what their position was or how busy they were, Everyone was so invested in making sure I got what I could out of the last two weeks and even in stressful times I could tell that everyone wanted to be here.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I very much enjoyed the insights. It really was a two-way process where I of course was being assessed for a TC but I also got such a great understanding of the firm that I can confidently say that I would love to train here.
