Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my roles involves starting with handing out the jobs for each person a morning, this can be Facebook messages and posts, calling customers who have made an enquiry, printing out holiday tickets for customers or calling customers for currency.
after this we then serve customers for holidays making booking and enquiry's, amending customers booking, taking payments, checking customers in or serving currency
i will also complete any outstanding apprentice work this could be writing up bookings, writing out my progress for the month or training programs.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

so far i have really enjoyed the programme it has brought me so much new knowledge and skills, i enjoy the team i am apart of and learning sales techniques.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt so many new skills such as negotiation, money handling, problem solving, geography knowledge and professionalism. I also have developed on pre existing skills such as customer service, time management and communication.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

at the start of the apprentice i think the training programme was amazing and so well structured we had weekly training days starting off with two days a week and then it went down to one. The EPA structure is great to as it really prepares us for our exams and i still have visits of my learning and development teacher comes to visit me and check up on me every 2 months

How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer is always there to help she answers any questions i have and checks up on me regular

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my qualification has helped me so much it has given me all the right knowledge and skills to become successful in my apprentice

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have opportunities like social media and training events, i do wish we had more chances for fam trips and ship visits.
