Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day-to-day basis, I am required to deliver excellent customer service to all customers who walk into store. I help customers find the perfect holiday for them and their needs. as well as this I help out with any jobs within our branch, this could be brochures, stickering them and putting them on display, social media posts, window cards etc.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program was very good, it was exciting and interesting, I was able to pick up the knowledge skills and behaviours to exceed in my job role, we also had the opportunity to do a ship visit which allowed me to gain firsthand experience of a cruise ship as I hadn't cruised before.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been able to develop my customer service skills; I have also grown in confidence significantly. I have been able to develop my communication skills which have enabled me to communicate effectively with many different customer types.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program was very well structure, from the training sessions to the exams themselves everything has a structure that was easy to follow.

I have and do receive an incredible amount of support from my colleagues and the company as a whole.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received a lot of support from my Learning and development coach; they were very happy to help with anything I was not sure about and ensured I had the correct knowledge and skills to succeed.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe my qualification helps me a lot, it has set me up with all of the necessary skills and knowledge I need to excel within my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are ship visits opportunities where you can get firsthand experience, there is also things like ancillary roadshows where suppliers gather, and we can attend to ask any questions or lean more about their brand and what they offer.
