To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have worked for BT for nearly 30 years, Im doing the apprenticeship as a way to get my CIPD qualification. My Babington coach is very good, but I find doing an apprenticeship very repetitive, doing similar activities for both the apprenticeship and the CIPD assignments.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My knowledge has 100% improved, I had a broad knowledge of people practice, but this has made my think differently and have more considerations when delivering projects

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My only concern is my CIPD, I am doing the rest of the work as a way to achieve this.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

We have been allocated time off the park to do this, but in reality this is not always possible. I do alot of work in my own time.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Babington have been ok. My coach is very thorough

It doesnt nessesarlily help me perform better, but it will give me better career opportunities

We have a great team and are close knit, we support each other at all levels

Would you recommend BT Group to a friend?

Yes

Why?

BT is a fantastic place to work overall. My experience of the apprenticeship isnt why I would recommend them, it all of the other things. I have had a great career in BT/Openreach and have loved every minute.
