Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
I am a Senior employee so not of a graduate level. The Level 7 Apprenticeship I completed in Senior Leadership and Mgmt offered me new skills to help deliver my job better, making strategic decisions, interventions and setting vision whilst influencing stakeholders up, down and sideways (boundary spanning). My role involves leading Innovation projects, downstreaming outcomes into the business to reap efficiencies and create value while also pushing innovation commercialisation to explore new propositions and revenue streams.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I have just finished the programme and I am devoted to continue with two extra topup modules that should lead me to get a complete MBA. The programme a was very attractive/useful opportunity, fitted well around my work schedule and responsibilities and challenging at times with the requirements for academic output and deadlines. There was alot of required personal discipline to ensure progress. I am very happy i graduated teh scheme with distinction both in the academic modules, the final project and the EPA with CMI.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Yes, I have developed a lot of new skills in leadership, thinking strategically, developing strategic proposals but also using my day-to-day practice in order to appropriately align and focus my assignments and strategic business proposal project. The latter gave me a lot of confidence I have now what I need to change my way of thinking, working and also seek the next progression opportunity.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
Very well organised. There are areas of improvement the University may consider so it works more efficiently. These I have fed back through yoursay surveys the course extended to us at the end.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
Immense support, specifically from my line manager. I kept the distractions to a minimum but overall my line manager was always available to support me when necessary.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
Very good support. The dedicated apprentice support staff were always available, the personal academic mentor had frequent catchups for mentoring/coaching, and the academic staff always accommodating around challenges a 70+ course cohort would generate.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
it helps a lot. As previously mentioned, I am now feeling more confident to make more strategic decisions, influence stakeholders and generate business vision that is attractive, evidence-based and quality.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
I always look to be involved with extra-curricular activities either offered by BT e.g. gym, sports, training classes, or outside by being involved as a running coach with the most historic Ipswich running club, in the local football league etc.
