My job roles include;supporting children’s needs through personal care routines. Having a structured day to day to ensure a happy environment. Supporting children’s development by completing regular observations and using the information to plan appropriate activities to meet their next steps.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I throughly enjoy the programme and believe it is a great way to build on every day life skills. Throughout my apprenticeship my confidence has increased massively and I feel as if I am constantly learning new things. There is always an opportunity to further my knowledge on everything I have learnt, to ensure I am always up to date with any information.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout my regular day release sessions I always leave knowing so much more about my role. I can then bring that into the workplace to develop my knowledge and also share with everyone I work with. I have learnt first aid,safeguarding and so much more, if I ever want to know more about anything I know there is multiple resources I can use.

The programme is very well structured, I am aware of any day release sessions weeks in advance. And any observations are visits are always booked in early so I have a well structured routine.
