Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
During my role as an apprentice I had to find deals to advertise in the window, on the A Frame and social media. I also had to learn how to use different systems to book holidays for customers, as well as answering the phone lots to deal with different customer needs.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
I enjoyed the training as it split up my time in branch. It was difficult during the breaks if I didn't know what to do as I wasn't fully trained at that point.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I have developed customer service skills, dealing with people on a 1-1 basis everyday. I also know how to follow company procedures to book holidays for customers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
It's structured well, with days in branch and then days training in a different location. I think with training being in person it was good for the brain as it was interactive. I also enjoyed doing the coursework and making Fact Files on different destinations so that I could apply it to my role.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

3/5
I could've received a little more help from higher roles in my branch as I haven't felt supported much during the time from beginning to completion.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I received lots of support from my Learning & Development coach - if I ever needed anything it was only a message or email away.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
All knowledge that I have learnt goes into my role everyday and is applied to customers when looking at holidays/dilemmas they have.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

2/5
You can go to events but can be nerve wracking as an apprentice. You're not really allowed to do educational trips with most suppliers. Most apprenticeship groups do a ship visit in Liverpool.
