Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involved pitching stories, interviewing people, writing 2/3 stories a day. Making videos for TikTok and also helping video shoots.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed my programme. I never would have got all these experiences if it wasn't for this apprenticeship. It gave me a kickstart into the industry.

Editing, writing skills have improved, interviewing.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was more structured at the beginning with regular sessions on career development and soft skills. It dropped after July 2025 I would say.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support, I have lots of people to go to who I can ask questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots of support from my training provider, sent them lots of questions and would get speedy responses.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Somewhat has helped with different modules but some modules, I haven't really applied yet to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We created a faith and diversity network which was really good, it still needs more support, which I think should be prioritised more by our workplace as it is important.

Yes
Why?
They are trying to upskill and create diversity across the board. There are loads of great teams to work with, I feel at ease when working here because I know I get a lot of support.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Reach plc?
Be yourself, be authentic. Show an eagerness to learn and improve, and what value you can add.
