Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
I am marketing support for 2 sub-brands of Vertu. This involves reporting, email and SMS marketing, campaigns, social media marketing, content ideation, and some product work on the websites.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
Programme is great, super relevant to my role, support is definitely there and there isn't an alternative I can think of that would provide this level of learning and skill building combined as this.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
I started my role with no prior knowledge to marketing, now I can plan and deliver full marketing campaigns.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

3/5
The programme is well organised, all the material is all on the university portal and uploaded straight after sessions. We had the level 4 year to get used to the structure so I am very comfortable with it now.
However, the extra bits away from uni and more the apprenticeship are in different places and feels overcomplicated. I think slimming this down and housing this all the same pack would be benficial for not only the learner but the skills coach.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

4/5
Great, I'm lucky to work at a large organisation with specialists in areas I am doing modules on.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

4/5
The lecturers provide immense support no complaints there.
The skills coach does too, I've not had to use this but I know if I had to I'd be supported. I think the exercises we do with the skills coach is overkill and we would both benefit with a broader conversation rather than tick box exercises.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
For me personally, I feel I'm one of the best in terms of relevance to the course given my job role. I feel the course matches exactly to what I am progressing into.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

3/5
We have group training days twice a year, and there are opportunities to go to seminars etc.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vertu Motors to a friend?

Yes

Why?

I'd recommend Vertu Motors to a friend as it's a large company in the north east with opportunities for many different job roles. I have previously forwarded a job advertisement to a friend so I can confidently say I would.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vertu Motors?

If you're local, see if you know somebody already working there.
