Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
I am an operational degree apprentice, currently working as a service advisor on the service desk, following customers through the journey. I will spend time in all the departments and learn about what it means to be a manager.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the programme and cannot wait to delve deeper into it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Yes I have gained many new skills, from developing communication skills in order to speak professionally to customers, to learning completely new skills like learning computer systems which are important to understand for the role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
The programme is very well structured.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I receive a lot of support, when I need help from someone in all aspects of the programme, someone is always available to help.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
Lots of support, once again, people are always available to help.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
I believe as I get further into my qualification, this will help me more to perform better in my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

4/5
There are things to be able to get involved in, however I have not explored any of these yet. This is something I could do more research into to see what there is.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vertu Motors to a friend?

Yes

Why?

Because Vertu Motors is a very large company, with many opportunities for personal and professional development (for example the evolution programme) and everyone that I have encountered in the business has been very supportive and helpful.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vertu Motors?

I would say to others applying to Vertu Motors that the company's values are very important, and that Vertu hires people based on a culture fit. Therefore, for someone applying to a job, I would advise them to become familiar with the organisational values to ensure they have ideas on how they fit the culture and demonstrate the values of the company.
