as a PCSO my primary role will be to engage and connect with members of the public and communities, identify vulnerability and safeguard victims/witnesses.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i am enjoying my learning phase in the training centre very well. The training staff are brilliant and we cover a lot of interesting topics that will be benificial once we go to our stations.

i have developed my communication skills, logical skills and the ability to defend myself

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it is structured well in the fact we learn before we go out, however it think the PPST sessions were not as well structured compared to the classroom learning and the scenarios we do in the classroom

a lot of support in the classroom and from shift at station

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

lots of support to be able to understand all the knowledge and what we need to do
