To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I feel fully engaged at work and supported throughout my apprenticeship thus far. In the 10 months time that I have been at work as I have learned an incredible amount of things compared to before I was working with Watkins. When I have any questions or issues they are answered/resolved very quickly and I love working with my team as they have been helping me to grow from experiences and respect me. I am trusted to work on big projects and I feel valued.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Over my time working with Watkins so far every single time I’ve needed support I have received it either immediately or very quickly and have been asked if I need anything else. This gives me confidence that I can finish my apprenticeship and possibly stay with this company.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received a tremendous amount of support when it comes to my coursework and exam exams. So far, I have not failed any exams out of the seven I’ve done and I’ve actually really improved with my general knowledge in plumbing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training provider is just as supportive as my Work. Why you to help me with my portfolio and coursework and the apprentice coordinator at my college is very quick to help me with anything.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have enjoyed all of the experiences I’ve been invited to so far and have helped me network with people in Watkins that I may not necessarily see if it wasn’t for said activities. To me this is a big deal as I believe networking is a key part to my career

Why?
I believe that Watkins is one of the best companies to do an apprenticeship with as they engage with their apprentices, they have dedicated staff that look after apprentices and also you are never left feeling stuck or unsure what to do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to C Watkins Plumbing Limited?
One big thing I would say is make sure you are ready to start your career you are eager and consistent with both learning and timekeeping/punctuality. I believe these are essential not just for Watkins but for this kind of career field.
