Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When I started my apprenticeship I would do 3 days of training to complete my level 2 apprenticeship and 1 full day of work in the nursery. After I completed most of my training I switched to full time working in the nursery and a training day every few weeks. On my day to day basis in the nursery I would help look after the children and ensure they are always safe and well looked after. This would include meal times, nappy changing, toilet assisting, 60 minutes of play outside, and indoor activities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I believe I have been given all the knowledge I need to feel comfortable working with the other staff members and taking care of the children.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills, including everything I learnt from first aid such as CPR and how to treat cuts and breaks. I have also learnt lots from my training days such as how to plan activities and care routines.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is very well organised as it ensures every staff member has all the necessary training, there are always enough staff in the nursery, and all children are safe and taken care of with daily routines in place

I revive lots of support from my employer and always feel comfortable to ask questions when needed

My training provider has taught me everything I need to know to feel comfortable working with other staff in the nursery
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Since starting the apprenticeship, I have a lot more knowledge in childcare.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
