Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at NatWest Group?
I would say really positive. NatWest is truly an inclusive organisation and hires people from various backgrounds and ethnicities. I can just be myself and be open about my areas of development and engage in tons of activities outside of my work. It is truly a place for people who want a holistic development of their career. Everyone is really supportive and encouraging which helped me to push myself out of the comfort zone and try new things I wanted to for a long time.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a relationship manager - My responsibilities are to go out and meet existing and new customers, do the business development research, complete fraud reviews and business reviews, manage portfolio plans, new needs met, prepare meeting briefs, taking meeting minutes, deal with admin queries from customers and support my Relationship director
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team is really great at listening to my areas of development and giving me the opportunities to improve those skills. They have been really supportive

As a grad you are still learning and experiencing new teams and different work environments. You can be as involved as you wish. So I feel like on par with the market
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I get to gain various skills across relationship management, change and transformation, and technical business areas. Get to meet new people and grow my network, push myself to do new things and complete tasks on deadline and getting exposure to various areas of the bank so I feel like I will be well positioned to roll off into a new job at the end of the scheme
