Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Administrative tasks. Answering telephone calls and emails. Speaking with other authorities, police, NHS, etc. Setting up training. Minute taking for meetings.

I developed a lot of new skills as an apprentice and continued to build on then as I developed within the organisation.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

i received a lot of support from my employer. My manager made sure i have at least one day a week to wok on my apprenticeship without interruption and made sure they where available to help when i needed it

the apprenticeship helped me preform better across multiple roles as i developed within the company

Medway Council offers Apprenticeship Forums, this allows apprentices to get together to network with others and share information. Apprentices are allowed to shadow other departments within the council to allow apprentices to learn about other teams to see how they work and what they do.

Apprenticeships are a great route into Medway Council, there are so many opportunities within the council that everyone has access to.
