Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Shadowing project manager, given little tasks to do such as commenting on documents, observing meetings about contracting, human factors, stakeholder engagement, creating a weekly schedule plan updating it every week, looking on plant to see the facilities in which the projects will be undertaken.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
Good, i like the work side of things University is a lot different to what i thought, still trying to get used to it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
Yes, technical wise i have learnt new basic skills in word, excel, other softwares that the company uses. Essential skills i have developed massively such as communication, listening, problem solving and teamwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4/5
Good, placement rotation is very organised, heads up on what is coming soon, good insight into what the apprenticeship will be like further towards the end as such for example in 3rd/4th year.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

4/5
Great support, from my placement team, TPRA every 3 month always reinstating that they are there to help. Fortnightly check ins with coordinators.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

3/5
University can be helpful at times but sometimes they won’t tell you the answer to a question, past assignment that i have just done created a lot of confusion between everybody, uni didn’t really help until the last weeks or so.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
Seeing and understanding the theory helps me spot where those things are happening in the workplace and why.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
Yeah. Degree council put out something new every week. I am a STEM ambassador so looking to go into schools and do some activities.
