Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves looking after multiple different client tax returns and company account submissions. In a normal day I review VAT returns, file payroll submissions, review company accounts, and provide tax advice when requested by a client
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed my apprenticeship journey so far, I have gained new skills and experiences I wouldn't have normally had.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained improved communication skills before with work colleagues and with clients as a professional. Flexibility, balancing a significant workload has also been a key skill I have gained.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My apprenticeship program has involved classroom lectures and in person tutor support. The course notes and question bank we are provided are excellent for revising and passing ACCA exams. I also like the online portal access we are given, as this provides a more modern online learning experience for practising questions
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have had excellent support from my employer. They have been fully understanding of some personal issues I experienced and helped me re-arrange my studies in a way that better benefited me.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training provider First Intuiton Maidstone provide full support for additional questions that I have. We complete a tuition course for the initial learning and then a revision course before the exam. Any mock exams we take are returned promptly with excellent feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has definitely improved my confidence and core skills that I use in my day to day job, communication being the key one.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Our firm volunteers at the local park each year as part of corporate social responsibility commitments. All staff members are allowed and encouraged to attend networking events in the local community, regardless of experience at the firm.

It's a unique place to work with lots of perks and space for personal and professional development. The support through the apprenticeship from management is excellent, and I always feel the support of my colleagues.
