I’ve learnt so many new skills. Coming into this job completely new to the industry BAM and my colleagues have taught me so much skills needed for the job as well as so many skills which I can use in any environment
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

On the side of the company my apprenticeship scheme is with the structure hasn’t been the best as there are a lot of indecisive moments so far however on BAMs side I have mangers and a mentor who are there to help me iron these things out
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The amount of support I receive from my employer is amazing they really take their time in making sure I achieve the best grade possible
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

It’s hard to judge so far as it’s still a little early in however I had a moment where there wasn’t enough communication to me about what was going on and about my progress
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course I take covers a very big range of jobs not just in the construction industry so it’s hard for them to support just one person in a class of 15 people who all have different job roles
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We are having talks of activities going on in the future and they sound fun. Colleagues also talk about previous outings they’ve had. I haven’t heard about any professional networking events however would love to get involved

They are supportive even though I had 0 experience the knowledge that this team has will make anyone grow

Don’t be afraid of minimal to no experience
