To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’ve really enjoyed my apprenticeship because it allowed me to learn by doing. I liked being trusted with real financial tasks and seeing how my work contributed to the team. Working with supportive colleagues helped me build confidence, and I enjoyed developing new skills.

I have learnt and developed lots of new skills such as communication, organisation and digital skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My apprenticeship has been very well organised. Clear expectations have been provided with structured learning, consistent support and a good mix of study and hands on experience.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my employer with regular meetings with my manager to discuss progress and help me stay on track. I also get lots of opportunity to ask any questions I may have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has helped me perform better in my role by giving me a strong understanding of the financial principles behind the tasks I complete each day.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have taken part in an office bake sale to raise money for one of the companies chosen charities and also organised the office Christmas social event.

Over all I have had a very positive experience while completing my apprenticeship with Last Mile. I have been provided with excellent support and opportunity to develop myself personally and professionally.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Last Mile?
Research your role, don't be afraid to ask questions, show enthusiasm and be yourself. Remember that apprenticeships are about your learning and potential.
