Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I was a customer service apprentice working in the human resources department. My main role was to support the recruitment team by coordinating interviews, employment checks and job advertisements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my apprenticeship and it gave me a lot of valuable experience and built some strong professional relationships and friendships.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme was very well organised. My main role was based within the recruitment team but I had opportunities to spend some time with the other teams in the department.

Very supportive from my manager, colleagues and apprenticeship lead at the council.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They were very supportive and came to visit me while in work.

Would you recommend Calderdale Council to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The apprenticeship was only fixed term but it opened up many opportunities within the council and I am still employed with them now. Since then I have gone onto develop further through other qualifications.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Calderdale Council?
Don't be put off my the fixed term contract as you will be supported near the end of your apprenticeship with applying for permanent roles.
