Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role's day to day involves high level data analytics tasks, like creating semantic models with GenBI capabilities, it involves creating report pages suitible for stake holders and taking part in high priority meetings and communications between myself, my team and stake holders.
Aside from my main role i have had optunties to take part in sub roles as an aprentice such as being a Bristol hub lead helping manage T-Level students that join on work placements and working on a commitie for my hub where we plan events for the other aprentices and grad students, this also involves myself being the national hub lead for charity where i manage several people across the country to generate opitunities or charity.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I absolutely love my role. I get to meet professionals in my career path and learn from them all the tips and tricks they have learned over their lengthy careers.
Lloyds Banking Group are really good at keeping apprentices social through events and social gatherings among each other. This has made me absolutely love the people I work with, who are more than colleagues and who I now consider good friends. We take part in all kinds of social events, from pub hunts and board game gatherings to boat parties.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have now learnt how to create an AI supported GENBI semantic model using a star schema. This allows me to create a dashboard which has built-in Copilot support to help users gain in-depth knowledge into the dashboard’s data.
Ive learnt how to organise events for over 100 people, and manage a team a of proffesionals to make the events a sucess.
I have learnt how to make important and hard decision regarding how i should work and what the best solution is.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My program was structured from a gentle opening with events explaining the company and what is expected of me and a plethora of ice breakers with other apprentices to get me familiar with my colleagues, it then ramped up into a professional role where I was expected to act as one who is a full time employee, this was incredible for learning how I should act in a business and feeling like a member of the team and not just an apprentice.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The support is strong, from weekly meetings with my manager and support given from the Lloyds Next Generation Talent team who would check in with me and make sure I’m okay.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My Training provider, give me meetings every other month, where we talk about how we can progress and how well i am doing.
My Training provider also let me know we can have sooner calls whenever i need them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It provides me with a wide variety of skills, not just ones that I’m using now in my job but ones that will benefit me for my future as a data analyst, the skills we learn are for our whole career and not just our current roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, Lloyds Banking Group always has some kind of event either running or coming up soon. I work as a charity representative for the Lloyds Banking Group Aspire Committee, here myself and other committee members plan a multitude of events, from pub hunts, boat parties and sports days.
