I think support from higher ubove has not been as good, for example, after my apprenticeship my L&D coach and Manager encouraged me to apply for rising stars. After i applied i received a call from my RSM who in brief said too many people have applied so my name won't even be bought forward for discussion and maybe i should think about applying for the mentor programme instead as it is less work. Which obviously made me feel as though my potential is not being prioritized in a company who seem to be so eager for young people's success. As a result of this I know my position in branch will stay the same untill next year when i can apply again, which is not what i wanted. I want to grow and learn in my role, i love selling but i also want to evolve and climb roles. I feel i was not given a fair chance to show my potential.
