Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My particular role is within the specialist FutureLaw team. The purpose of this team is to leverage technologies to deliver new products and services that achieve better outcomes for our clients. We specialise in client centric solutions that help improve the delivery of legal services across the firm’s key practice areas and sectors. This positions FutureLaw at the intersection of law and technology, and my work as a Business Analyst (BA) is central to translating client and business needs into effective technological solutions. As such, my work is varied and I interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders regularly.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. No day is the same and I have quickly gained responsibility for interacting with some of TLT's key clients.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've had the opportunity to learn many skills including; public speaking, technical skills with tools like Legora and HighQ, analytical skills, problem solving skills, stakeholder engagement etc.

I receive lots of support from my employer from help with understanding theory to supporting me during submission periods.

The support from BPP is good, they are always to answer questions but the learning style is different from university.

Why?

TLT is great place to work. There is ample of career progression opportunities and you can quickly gain responsibility for pieces of work and gain exposure with clients. The culture is very friendly and all levels of management are very approachable.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TLT LLP?

Culture is really important to TLT. It is also important to demonstrate that you can be proactive when completing tasks and provide a thought through solution rather than just identifying a problem.
