Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
No two days are the same, I take calls each day each wanting different destinations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my program although I don't think that it is perfect (nothing can be)

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have improved my confidence, customer service and destination knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
We have set timetables for training sessions however sometimes things come up and certains trainings need to be switched around which is completely understandable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I would say the support is very good here, i have my apprentice coach, my team leader, my manager, collegues and safeguarding team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My apprentice coach is always happy to help with any questions I may have and takes out time to come and sit with me to help me with assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
My qualification - customer service practitioner - fits my role perfectly as the main day to day task is providing an excellent service to my customers. However for apprentices in other departments such as marketing, I do not think that the qualification suites at all and it is a struggle to gather evidence for the assignments. Overall I think it only suites a couple of roles within the business not catering to everyone.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Hays Travel to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a good way to gain work experience while gaining a qualification - I would definitely say it is more suited to a school leaver rather than someone older however.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hays Travel?
I would advise to fully look into it and see which department would suit you best rather than focusing on the apprenticehship side of it.
