As a first-year apprentice, I assist senior carpenters, learning to measure, cut, and fit materials. I'm becoming familiar with diverse building materials, operating hand and power tools safely, and contributing to constructing and repairing frameworks like walls, roofs, and floors. This hands-on experience is crucial for mastering carpentry basics.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Being a first-year apprentice is fantastic! I'm thoroughly enjoying assisting the senior carpenters and getting hands-on with measuring and cutting. Learning about different materials and using tools safely is great. It's really satisfying to help build walls and roofs, and I'm finding the practical experience essential and incredibly enjoyable for my carpentry journey.
