Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Each day is different but main duties are to assist others with and independently complete all types of joinery works from first fix partition walls to second fix mouldings, doors etc. I learnt a lot about the trade and other trades in general gaining essential knowledge and skills needed to become a successful joiner.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Meet various types of people in different trades on site, learn something new everyday and enjoy doing Joinery.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, learnt many new skills, practical or otherwise in the trade as well as other aspects of construction work. I have also developed on my existing skills by learning how to perform tasks in a more efficient manner etc.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Well structured programme consisting of 4 days on site, 1 day at college which includes real experience of the trade and the theoretical aspect. Each part of the apprenticeship has been outlined clearly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Employer regularly comes onto site to see how I am doing, progress reviews and feedback every so often to make sure everything is going smoothly and the requirements of the programme I am on are being met.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Undertaken in a structured timetable consisting of practical and theory lessons which are engaging and specific to the topic. Support is given in all areas from the qualification requirements, stages leading up to the EPA and how to maximise time spent learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

More knowledge and understanding of the how and why of the trade which in turn helps with being more productive and useful on site.
