Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day‑to‑day basis, I support team performance, I look at data and feedback to identify improvements and coaching needs.
I provide coaching and support colleagues to build their confidence, capability, and engagement. I work closely with other leaders to support my apprenticeship and continuously improve ways of working, while reflecting on my own development through my apprenticeship. I focus on the apprenticeship modules and homework that is set.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme because it has helped me develop confidence and capability as a Team Leader by giving me opportunities learn and this learning directly in my role. The programme supports my professional growth, links well to my day‑to‑day responsibilities, and has strengthened my ability to support and develop a team effectively.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have both learnt new skills and further developed existing ones. The programme has strengthened my leadership and people management skills, particularly in coaching, giving constructive feedback, and having confident performance conversations. I have also developed my ability to use data and insights to manage team performance more effectively and identify development needs.
In addition, I have improved my communication, time‑management, and decision making skills, enabling me to handle competing priorities and support my team more consistently. The reflective elements of the programme have helped me become more self‑aware and deliberate in my leadership approach.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well organised and clearly structured with planned learning, regular reviews, and clear links between the apprenticeship requirements and my day to day role as a Team Leader. The schedule and milestones are easy to follow, and support from my coach helps keep me on track. The structure allows me to apply learning in real situations and reflect on my progress effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a high level of support from my employer. This includes regular check ins, access to coaching and development opportunities, and time to complete apprenticeship learning and reviews. My manager is supportive and encourages me to apply learning in my role, which helps me develop effectively as a Team Leader.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a strong level of support from my training provider. This includes monthly catch ups with my coach, clear guidance on requirements, and helpful feedback on my progress and evidence. The support is accessible and structured, which helps me stay on track and confidently apply my learning within my Team Leader role.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualification supports me very well in performing my role as a Team Leader. The learning provided by my training provider directly links to my responsibilities, particularly in leadership, coaching, performance management, and effective communication. It has helped me apply structured approaches to managing a team, increase my confidence in decision making, and reflecting on my leadership style to improve outcomes for both colleagues and customers.
