My role may vary from going on inspections with colleagues, report writing, attending new office space launches.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I would say the programme is very beneficial for school leavers, as it provides an opportunity to apply learning concurrently in a work environment whilst also making a living. Prepares young people for a professional environment.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt fundamentals to property and how the buying, selling, valuing and client interactions occur. I have also developed transferable skills, such as effective communication, negotiation, time management etc.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I believe it is fairly organized. A complaint that I have heard multiple times from managers and apprentices is the fact that apprentice tend to join at a busy period and may not be learning or participating efficiently until later on during the rotation.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive in various ways i.e benefits that can help with life outside of work. Networks to promote inclusivity. They also have a next gen team who can help with any issues faced.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Provided with an apprentice outcomes officer who is there to assist with all matters.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As I am currently learning and completing tasks a junior/ assistant surveyor may be doing, I believe the qualification will just be an addition to my title, as it may just increase work load but the tasks and responsibilities will not change drastically once qualified.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a lot of extra-curricular activities such as football sessions, networking events with other companies, networking within the company. However I would love if there were a CBRE football team.

Why?
I believe I come from a different background to some but similar to many. However I believe CBRE are a very welcoming company and very diverse. Unlike other companies in the world of real estate CBRE are extremely diverse and inclusive in culture, age and They provide a lot of support for life outside of work as well as within work. There is also a next gen program which allows you to reach out to various people in similar points of their career or who were recently in a similar position.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CBRE Group?
I would recommend being yourself, a lot of people think they need to change to adapt or to fit in CBRE is a great company looking ideally in my opinion for team players. People who can work well with others and do their best.
