Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I would work on my intern project daily by learning how to edit and shooting some videos, have daily interactions with my project team members. Attend meetings with insurers and sometimes clients. Interact with my team members as they explain different aspects of the insurance product and they would give me research or admin tasks.

I was not given much responsibility.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I am far better at organizing meetings and relation to new people and building relationships. I am better at providing constructive feedback and have greater attention to detail. I have gained more financial literacy due to intern learning sessions provided.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was given consistent support and advice from members of the team I worked in as well as external clients that I networked with. Everyone was very happy to answer and encouraging of questions that I had. They always took time to answer my questions in detail.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture is very good, they are pushing Aon united which encourages the whole company to work together and support each other. People are pretty relaxed and friendly in their interactions with each other.
