Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On a day-to-day basis I will mainly spend most of my time doing the task that was allocated to me in agreement with the team on the weekly catch up meeting. I will assist any other member of the team if urgent tasks appear that require completion.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

One of the things I thoroughly enjoyed throughout my internship was that I was given responsibility to carry out several tasks. That really made me feel more welcome and I felt like my contribution was meaningful. Moreover I really appreciated that I was treated equally.

During my time here I have developed my communication and presentation skills massively. I have also developed my analytical and research skills whilst working on projects.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have always received support and guidance when requested which was really helpful. I enjoyed the fact that we were allowed to explore and figure out ways to complete our tasks and if we struggled we can reach out to certain colleagues.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture and general atmosphere throughout my internship was really friendly and engaging. Being a member of a diverse team have helped me settle in well as a foreigner from another country.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed this whole journey. It was a pleasure and a lifetime experience working for such a big firm. I would be really keen to join the company when I graduate because the way the department works and the team environment is really engaging. Not only that but being involved with a variety of projects was really exciting and has enriched my knowledge.
