My role supports the delivery of global sustainability initiatives, with a particular focus on carbon reduction, environmental performance, and governance across the organisation. I work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across functions and regions, contributing to projects that support AstraZeneca’s sustainability strategy while developing my professional and technical skills through the apprenticeship programme.
On a daily basis, my role involves a combination of project coordination, data and document management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous learning.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy working at AstraZeneca and taking part in the apprentice programme. It has helped me grow and develop as a person and in my career.

Very well structure. One day a week for education and four days a week doing my daily work tasks.

I am very supported by my employer, both from my line manager and from the wider team. Everyone is helping me succeed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My education is generally related to my job role, although I work more on specifics of the pharmaceutical industry and on project management which is not taught in my education programme.

I am involved in volunteering days, I am events manager for the apprenticeship scheme and I previously was a treasurer for a mental health and wellbeing ERG.
