Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Managing and maintaining an up-to-date database of placement and volunteering providers, ensuring accurate records and effective matching of opportunities to GBS students.
Coordinating student placements from start to finish, including liaising with employers, supporting students, and ensuring all required documentation, compliance checks, and partnership agreements were completed in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Managing online systems and databases on a daily basis, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates to support reporting and student engagement.
Designing and delivering targeted communications, including online platforms, email campaigns, and newsletters, to promote career, placement, and volunteering opportunities to students.
Supporting and contributing to on-campus careers activities such as employer presentations, employability workshops, and job fairs, providing guidance and information to students.
Overseeing and maintaining the Online Careers and Placement Hub, ensuring content remained current, accessible, and relevant to student needs.
Managing the DBS process for students undertaking placements, ensuring applications were processed accurately and within required timescales.
