Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role includes participation of managing logistics, in relation to labour and handymen. Regular involvement with implementing and setting a good example of health and safety procedures. Managing and liaising between different subcontractors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Our programme at BAM is really good, I enjoy my time working on-site as I get the required support needed to enhance my learning. Also, I get the opportunity to take on responsibility for my own sections of work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my confidence in managing more packages and larger schemes of work. Furthermore, my build knowledge has improved since joining the programme.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured, with when we attend university and when we are back working on-site.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Whilst on-site support is always available from my line manager and those around me. Some more support from the university side sometimes could be valuable.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yes - we often have networking events where we can meet people from other sites etc
