Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
An overview of my role includes day to day administrative tasks, such as answering the telephone to patients with questions and being able to answer their questions in an appropriate manner. I also schedule appointments, support clinical staff and prepare patient information confidentially.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy my role, I feel as though I work well in my current team, I feel supported by my line manager and also have a good relationship with my colleagues. I feel confident in completing my day to day tasks to a high standard.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt lots of new skills whilst working for the National Healthcare Service, as well as in my current role. I have gained lots of confidence since starting within my current role, I have also gained lots of knowledge and acquired a good skill set which adapts me well to being able to provide a high and efficient standard of care for our patients.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is very well structured, my manager provides myself and my colleague with a task spreadsheet for each week, she will send this prior to the week of completion. This enables me time to reflect on what I need to do for the upcoming week, so I can prioritise my tasks in a timely manner.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer is very supportive, she is always happy to pick up any tasks that me or my colleague may not have time to complete by the end of the day. My line manager will always provide us extra time to complete any work which may be outstanding due to the office being busy or having to complete other tasks as more of a priority.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider was very supportive, my tutor always consulted with myself first before booking any sessions, as he always wanted to make sure that I felt the apprenticeship was moving at a comfortable pace for me. My tutor always kept in regular contact with me via email to make sure that I was getting on okay with my work, and he always provided his extra support when I needed it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
As I work in a customer service role within administration, and I completed a customer service and business admin level 2 apprenticeship, I think that completing this course definitely benefited me within my job role by providing me with an opportunity to put the skills I was learning throughout my apprenticeship into my job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I have not really looked into what extra-curricular activities my work provides, as I live quite far away. Although I am sure that there is lots of extra activities to get involved with if I decided that I wanted to.
