Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in recoveries, escalation and litigation, which means that I deal with cases who have gone too far in arrears, and now we have to litigate or appoint against them. Every day I speak to legals, solicitors, courts, receivers on the phone. I appoint new receivers, send letters etc

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it and the benefits of the company is very good. The Academy programme is also really well thought out. The days are just very long

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned all about litigation processes and receivership processes, which I had never even heard of before. I have learned how to organise my work day.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Academy offer a lot of sessions/workshops to help you gain skills for your life, and also gain knowledge on different areas of the business. We do our apprenticeship with an external company and have monthly appointments with our tutors.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have monthly appointments, and also 10 week reviews where we discussed what I have learned over the past 10 weeks. My tutor is always there to respond to questions when I need it.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think my qualification helps to learn about data protection, legal processes and regulatory requirements, but can sometimes be quite repetitive with the questions, and also quite easy. I sometimes know everything already.
