Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a normal day I arrive at 8 spending time with my set team which changes through the first i will be shadowing this team and also getting involved on things like maintenance and project work as well, then on Thursdays I will be enrolled in my online college course in electrical engineering.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy being able to work through all different parts of the business everyone I've worked with has been really helpful and will answer and questions I have.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned new skills anything from soft skills in training courses and talks from other people and also a lot of practical skills in engineering including things like soldering, diagnostic work and maintenance work

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The overall structure of the programme is very well planned however somethings are a little a little unclear however line manger is very helpful to answer any questions i might have.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support at NATS is brilliant not only from your manager but from other colleagues around the business but also dedicated support networks within NATS such as are peer support team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Support is there from are provider however can sometimes be harder to access and get a response due to having a very big class, however overall the support is there when you need it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This can give us good foundation and some good theory knowledge which we can use however not all of the stuff that we learn is that relevant to what we do which is expected
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a very good wide ranger of social activities to get involved with inside and outside of work and plenty of sports team to get involved with not to mention anyone is welcome to make there own social/sport club. There are also tones of networks you can join.

Amazing opportunities in the company with a wide variety of jobs, very good work like balance, good pay and benefits and a brilliant place to woke overall with a positive environment also not to mention such a interesting industry to work in with chances to get involved in amazing projects for your career with great career development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NATS?
I think the best piece of advice I would give is to ask as many questions, take all the opportunities you can and don't worry if you done know everything
